Mangalore :  People of Niddodi drove away a Congress team which had arrived in the village on July 29, Monday to gather the opinion of the people regarding the proposed 4000 mw thermal power project. Several men and women had gathered and showed slippers and brooms at the team which had to return empty handed.

The police had to intervene when the three vehicles in which the team had arrived, were also stoned.

The Congress team included PV Mohan, Dennis D’Silva, TK Sudhir, Badruddin, Suresh Shetty and Nelson, Rohitaksha of Raitha Sangha was also present.

Around 500 people who virtually droe away the Congress team, said they are not ready to speak to anyone but the local MLA.
