Bantwal : Six students sustained injuries when a KSRTC bus on way to Mangalore from Subrahmanya ran over a group of students waiting for the bus at Perne near Bantwal.

 The accident occurred when the bus tried to overtake another vehicle on the National Highway 48.  The bus later came to an abrupt halt after it hit a compound wall.

 Those injured are Nishmitha (16), Ashika (9), Shoaib (16), Sanku (48), Vinutha (16), Hemanth (15), Meenakshi (30), Irshad (14), Mohammed (38) and Mohammed Naufal (15). Two of them have sustained serious injuries.

Bantwal police have registered a case.
