Moodbidri :   Jain community leader and businessman Gunapal Jain died in a road accident  at Hosangady near Venoor in  Belthangady on July 30, Tuesday. The accident occurred between the Innova car in which Jain was travelling and a private bus. The bus rammed against the car seriously injuring Jain.

Though he was immediately rushed to the hospital, it was of no use. Gunapal Jain was  the  former president of Venoor Gram Panchayat. He had also served as Secretary of the Venoor Maha Mastakabhisheka Committee and also as Member of Jina Theerthankara Committee.

A large crowd had gathered at the scene of the accident and outside the hospital where Jain was taken.

Venoor police are conducting the investigations.
