Mangalore : MLC and BJP district president Monappa Bhandary said that the BJP is satisfied with the responsibility taken as the opposition party during the last monsoon session of 15 days, which completed on July 31.

Addressing the media person at the press meet held at District BJP office on August 6, Tuesday, he said that BJP had opposed the correction made by the Congress, which stands Gram Panchayath president and members responsible for not holding the meetings, by collecting the public opinion and uniting its members.

Mr Bhandary said that BJP has restricted the implementation of correction made to Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC).  This will further avoid the torture of middlemen and help the famers to get the good market value for their agricultural products.

He said that the state government had given the compensation of Rs One lakh to four victims of Mysore, but later with the effort of BJP, all the Dengue victims of the current years were given equal compensation.

 MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik, Former BJP District president Padmanabha Kottary, members Raj Gopal Rai and Pushpalatha Gatty were present.
