Mangalore : A youth identified as Ramachandra was brutally assaulted by a gang of assailants near  Kulur Junction on August 7, Wednesday night.

The incident took place when Ramachandra was coming out of a bar in Kulur Junction. He had been there during his return from work and was on way home. The bike bound assailants stabbed him before fleeing.

He has been admitted to a private hospital in Mangalore. The suspicion is that  he was attacked over a previous enmity over cock fighting.

Kavoor police have registered a case.
