Puttur : Two Muslim youth were attacked by moral brigade in Puttur on August 8, Thursday for having food with girls of another community in a hotel at Puttur on account of Eid.

The injured youth namely Abdul Samad (21) and Mohammad Jamal (18) of Keremoole in Chikkamudnur village, have been admitted to Mahaveera Hospital.

 If Samad was an MSW student, Jamal was  second PUC student. Both were having food with some female and male friends at the Hotel Lakshmi at Puttur on Thursday when they were reportedly reprimanded by some  men.

Later when the students were travelling in an autorickshaw, they were waylaid and  then the two taken to an isolated place and attacked by a group of around ten persons reportedly belonging to a Hindu organization.

The victim youth have named some of the assailants as Sachin, Chandrasingh, Ganesh, Avinash and  Sooraj .
