Mangalore : Senior Bharatiya Janata Party activist Haji SH Usman took charge as the new Chairman of Dakshina Kannada District Wakf Committee on October 11, Monday.

Speaking after taking charge as new chairman, Usman assured to take right decision and work for the welfare of the committee.
He said that Wakf Board will work to benefit the people of minority community and he thanked the ruling party and its supporters for appointing him for the post.

BJP Monappa Bhandary, Former President of Dakshina Kannada district, members of the committee Rahim Uchil and Abdul Kunnhi Nellyadka, were present.
