Kasargod : One Majeed (47) from Kasargod, considered the prime accused in the  fake note racket case. He was arrested by the NIA in Mumbai at the airport while he was returning from Dubai.

He has been brought to Kochi for interrogation. Earlier there was a look out notice against him. He has several cases in Chandera, Kasargod and Hosadurga stations.

It is said that Moidin Haji from Udupi, Majeed from Kasargod and Mummunhi are said to be the main accused in this reacket. Earlier nine arrests have been made. They are  Abdul Jabbar (39),  K P Abdul Nasir, Anagoor (36), Chethan Kumar, Udupi, Usman Bantwal, Gopal Krishna Pandith from Manipal (21), Zubaida, wife of  Abdul Jabbar, private financiers Balan Payyanoor, Girish and Abdul Rehman.

NIA officials are presently on the look out for Moideen Haji and Mumunnhi.
