Udupi: State Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Dinesh Gundurao has assured that the quality of food supplied to fair pries shops would be ensured.
Speaking to reporters here he said steps would be taken to supply boiled rice to people of the district under the Anna Bhagya scheme.
He said the scheme was benefitting 98 lakh people of the state in order to ensure that no one was hungry. He said in order to maintain quality all ware houses have been asked to have modern storing facilities. Quality check measures will also be implemented, he said. Biometric technology scheme will be introduced in the ration stores as to ensure smooth functioning and added the facility in Tumkur and Chikmagalur will be extended to all districts.
