Bantwal :  A woman lost her life and four persons were injured in an accident  at Erme Majal near Veerakambha on August 19, Monday. The speeding truck carrying chickens  hit  the autorickshaw after the driver of the truck lost control over the vehicle.

The deceased woman is Kusuma (56) hailing from Kelinje. She died of excessive bleeding after one of her hands was cut off due to the accident. The autorickshaw driver and three others in the auto were also injured. The injured are  Jayanth, Harinakshi, Vishwanath and autorickshaw  driver Yatin. The vittal police arrested the truck driver for rash driving. Vittal police have registered a case.
