Mangalore : Nabeesa mother of Panjimogaru double murder victim, Razia(32) , and her daughter Fatima Zuha, (7 years 10 months) said that  CID have been unable to arrest real culprit from past two years.

Addressing the media at the press meet held at Press Club on Aug 20, Tuesday, she said that her daughter and granddaughter were brutally murdered. Razia’s husband Hameed runs scrap shop at Kuloor. She also said that the police officials are trying to turn the case and trying to blame Razia’s brother Haneef.

She also said that when the officials started their enquiry in the starting, we hoped to get the justice, but on the third day, Hameed started to blame Haneef and immediately, he was taken to custody for interrogation. Our family did not take the matter seriously thinking that Hameed has given statement against Haneef due to family dispute and family members co-operated with the police.

When the police failed to find out the culprits, local associations supported the family and staged the protest demanding the justice. At that time the Hameed pressurized Razia’s family members not to participate in the protest.

Even though the case was handed over to the CID, the police continuously interrogated our family members and especially Haneef. He was also called to Bangalore for investigation several times and when the team came to Mangalore he was investigated thoroughly.

Razia sister Zulekha said tthere before the murder, there was clash between Hameed and Haneef.

She also said that our family members are ready to co-operate with the police to find out the real culprit in our sister and her daughter’s murder case and blaming Haneef is a plan to drop the case and wash their hands from murder charges.

Razia’s brothers Ashraf, Arif, and Arish and sister Rehana were also present during the press meet.
