Sullia : In a shocking incident, a first year computer science student hailing from Mysore was brutally assaulted on the pretext of ragging. He is also learnt to have lost some teeth in the attack by his seniors at the hostel. Police have arrested ten senior students of KVG Polytechnic in connection with the ragging.
The victim named Prithvin has been hospitalized. It is learnt, the seniors took him out of his hostel room on August 20, Tuesday night and then ragged him brutally. They also warned him against divulging the matter before anyone.
However Prathvin who at first told his parents that he had fallen in the hostel, later on realizing that the pain was unbearable informed about the ragging.
His parents have arrived in Sullia. There is information that they are being pressurized to withdraw the complaint.
