Mangalore : M Shivanna, Memberr of the National Commission of SC/STs  has said that  the standard of living of SC ST people have improved by 90  per cent.

Speaking to media after a progress review meet at DC office on August 23 Friday, he said there is significant improvement in the living conditions of Dalits in the district and also that the number of cases of harassment and exploitation of Dalits has reduced.

He said   there have been 41 cases of caste abuse in DK so far in 2013 while the number  was 37 in 2011, 56 in 2012.
