Mangalore : The District unit of Democratic Youth Federation of India organised a protest in Mangalore in front of Deputy Commissioner Office on August 26, Monday, opposing the unscientific increase in prices of hotel food.

Speaking on the occasion, DK District DYFI Chief Muneer Katipalla urged the district administration to intervene and bring uniformity in prices of hotel food. He said the hoteliers had increased the prices ontheir own on the grounds that the cost of raw materials was high and have thus burdened the common man.

He said the DYFI will continue its protest until the prices are reduced.

Several DYFI leaders including Secretary Dayananda Shetty, Seetaram Shetty, Sowmya Panjimogaru and others took part in the protest.
