Mangalore :   The tenth Ganeshotsava celebrations of Sri  Siddi Vinayaka Pratishtana will be held in a grand way at the Omkar Nagar in Bunts Hostel from September 4 to 11.

Informing this to reporters here,  Maladi Ajith Kumar Rai Malady, Managing Trustee of Sri Siddivinayaka Pratishtana said  various programmes like Tene Habba, Sahasra Ashtottara Narikela Mahaganayaga, and social, sports and cultural programmes will also be organised.

The ceremonies will be inaugurated on September 9 morning and the idol of Lord Ganesha will be  installed. There will be Bhajans on September 10 apart from music, dance and cultural programmes by students of Ramakrishna institutions.

The valedictory function will be held on September 11, The Shobhayatra will be held in the evening and the idol will be immersed at the Mahamayi Temple lake, he informed.

Kadri Navaneeth Shetty, President of Sarvajanika Ganeshotsava Samithi  who also spoke on the occasion, said there is a programme of felicitating outstanding Bunt  achievers in various fields.

Asha Jyothi Rai, Convenor of Pratibhanveshana Samithi said there will be a sports meet on  September 1 for community members and children. Winners will get cash prizes and trophies. Already various programmes like dance fest, Ideal Couple Contest, Treasure Hunt etc were held, she informed.

Manjunath  Bhandari, Raviraj Shetty Nitteguttu, Krishna Prasad Rai Bellippady, Trustees of the Pratishtana, Jagannath Shetty Bala, Convenor of Ganeshotsava Samithi and others were present.
