Mangalore : The CPI(M) Mangalore city committee staged a protest in front of the DC office in Mangalore on September 2 Monday morning opposing the discrepancies in the distribution of fair price commodities.

B Madhava, CPI(M) leader said there should not be any discrimination between APL, BPL and all families should get 35 kg of rice at the rate of Re 1 per kg.He also criticized the government for stopping distribution of rice to APL families through fair price shops. Even the ration card issuing process is confusing, he said.

Sunil Kumar Bajal, Dayananda Shetty, Jayanthi Shetty, Bharathi Shetty, Balakrishna Shetty and others participated in the protest.
