Sullia : A KSRTC bus conductor named Nagesh has been arrested by the Subrahmanya police on charges of raping a PUC student of a college in Subrahmanya. She is said to be a minor.

It is learnt Nagesh who hailed from Hassan, who worked as a conductor from Dharmasthala depot befriended the girl who travelled in his bus daily. Recently, he took her to Bangalore where he reportedly raped her and then brought her back to Sullia, her home town. He then fled the place. Meanwhile, the parents of the girl who had earlier lodged a missing case, lodged a complaint against Nagesh and he was arrested on September 8, Tuesday.

The girl has been subject to medical examination at a hospital. Investigations are underway.
