Mangalore : BEM Educational Institution to celebrate its 175th Anniversary at Centenary Hall of the School on September 7, Saturday at 10.30 am, said BEM 175th Anniversary celebration Committee president Walter J Maben.

Addressing the media at the press meet held at BEM School on Sep 5, Thursday he said that MLA J R Lobo will hoist the school flag, while District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) principal Philomena Lobo will inaugurate the event at the stage programme.

Walter said that Alvas Educational Institution founder Dr M Mohan Alva will release the logo of 175th celebration and Karnataka Theological College principal Rev Dr Hannibal Cabral Karnataka will launch the institution website.

Prior to the stage function, the students, old students, management of BEM institution accompanied by Chande, dancing dolls, yakshagana artists and tiger dancers will hold a procession from the school via Navbharath Circle, City Centre, Sharavu Temple, carstreet and conclude at the school.
