Mangalore : Nearly 28 artists sensitized the public on the drastic effects of the proposed Yettinahole project, by painting their views on the 50 meter long canvas at a painting event held on September 10, Tuesday under the auspices of the Department of Botany of St Aloysius College and Karavali Chitrakala Chavadi.

Artist Dinesh Holla stressed the need to create an awakening in the society about the project which may have drastic effects on Netravathi.

ML Suresh Nath, Head of the Department of Botany and artist Ganesh Somayaji also spoke on the occasion.

Several artists took part in the event. They included Naveen Kodialbail, Ajay Udupi, Harish Kodialbail, Harish Marne, Jeevan and Suresh Poojary. Rajendra Kedige, John Chandra, Sapna Noronha, Rachana, Sandhya Yogesh, Naveen Bangera, Pramod Raj, Jeevan Kumar Anil Devadiga and Santhosh Andrade.
