Mangalore : All College Students Union 2013- 2014 inaugurated at Town Hall on Sep 14, Saturday.

Speaking after inaugurating the event, Former Union Minister and Senior Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary said that students are Country’s future. Students attend college to pursue education and increase their knowledge; hence they must respect their teachers who work hard to shape their future.

He said that students have lot of power and they must fight against the injustice taking place in the society. Recently, the four convicts received the death sentence punishment due to the continuous protests staged by the students demanding justice. The students must stay united during such crucial incidents and fight against it, he said.

Minister for Fisheries K Abhaychandra Jain said that student’s union programme was inaugurated by the anti corrupt politician who intends to help the poor and this is a good sign to begin the union.

Youth Congress president Mithun Rai welcomed gathering.

Congress leaders Ivan D’Souza, Shashidhar Hegde, Praveenchandra Alva, Rathikal, Abbas Ali, Kavitha and student leader Ashith Periera and Roopesh Rai were present.
