Mangalore : Rajasthan Governor Margaret Alva spoke on “Issues and challenges in the next decade and the way ahead’ at a programme organised by the KCCI at the Hotel Gateway in Mangalore on September 23, Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, she stressed the need to develop tourist destinations through innovative means as tourist do not just want to visit the places but want to have a good experience which they can cherish.
She said tourism potential of the DK district should be tapped. She said youth need to be educated with better skills so that they can compete in the global job market.
Quality education is a must, she said. Margaret Alva also dwelled upon the growing corruption as well as poverty in the nation.
