Bantwal :  Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt has suggested that  the authorities should go in for a bypass at Kalladka instead of widening the highway at Kalladka as part of the Hassan-BC Road fourlane project.

He visited Kalladka on September 24, Tuesday and interacted with locals and members of the National Highway Santhrasthara Horata Samiti.

The seer said if the highway was widened, it will lead to demolition of several shops and houses and  instead a bypass will help in retaining the existence of  the town.

To a question from the seer, Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat, Honorary President of the Samithi said there was no politics and the Samithi has been apolitical to fight for the cause of Kalladka.
