Kasargod :   Two persons have been arrested with regard to the murder of CPI(M) worker MB Balakrishnan (45). Those arrested are K V Sham Mohan (24), a resident of Aryadka colony and Srijayan (38).

The police arrested Sham Mohan  near Chervathur railway station while Srijayan was arrested at Nalanvadukkal.   The arrests were made on the basis of revelations made by the main accused Kuttapi alias Prajith who was arrested earlier.

Balakrishnan was murdered on September 16 night when he was on way home by some bike bound assailants. Police have seized the bike as well as the weapons.

The murder had also led to stone pelting incidents in the town and a bundh was also observed.
