Mangalore : Former Union Minister B Janardhana Poojary said that Shree Gokarnatheshwara temple, Kudroli will establish Shirdi Sai Baba mandir in its premises on the October 10, Thursday.
Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on October 7, Monday he said that the construction work of the mandir has been completed and it will be inaugurated by a widow on October 11, Friday at 5.30 pm.
He also said that the5 foot 7.5 inches tall statue of Sai baba has been sculpted in white marble, brought from Vietnam and his son Santhosh Kumar Poojary, who is employed as an international director at an overseas company will bear the entire cost of the construction.
Briefing on the appointment of widow priests, he said that Lakshmi Shanthi is 67 years old and lost her husband 20 years ago. She has two sons and three daughters, while Indira Shanthi is 45 years old and lost her husband five years ago. She has two sons and a daughter. After becoming the priests, ‘Shanti’ has been added to their names.
These two priests have been trained for four months from Lokesh Shanthi, a Gurumandir priest from B C Road, he said.
Temple development committee President H S Sairam and members Raghavendra Kuloor, Harikrishna Bantwal and Padmaraj were present.
