Manjeshwar :  Two youth who were reportedly attacked by the sand mafia have been admitted to the Manjeshwar Government Hospital.

They have been identified as Habeeb  and Khalik of Fatwady. Of the two Khalik was a student of a college in Mangalore.   They have alleged that they were attacked by Shafi, Mohammad and Basheer when they enquired about the illegal sand mining.

They have also alleged that  sand was being illegally mined under the  leadership of one IM Musa in the area.
