Mangalore : Shri Kodikunnil Suresh, Hon’ble Minister of State for Labour & Employment, Govt. of India Inaugurated the ESIC Sub- Regional Office, Mangalore (Karnataka) on 24.10.2013 Thursday.

Shri P. T. Parameshwara Naik, Hon’ble Minister of State for Labour (Independent Charge), Government of Karnataka presided over the function.

While addressing the gathering Shri Kodikunnil Suresh, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Labour & Employment said that this Sub-Regional Office, Mangalore will cater to the needs of Insured Persons and employers of this area. He also said that Central Govt. has brought out many welfare schemes and projects for the welfare of industrial workers of Karnataka State. Hon’ble Union Minister, Shri Kodikunnil Suresh informed that ESIC has decided to enhance the wage ceiling for coverage of employees under ESI Scheme from Rs.15,000/- to Rs.25,000/-. He also informed that ESIC has started its 02 Medical Colleges in Rajajinagar, Bangalore and Gulbarga State of Karnataka.

Shri P.T. Parameshwara Naik, Hon’ble Minister of State for Labour(Independent Charge), Govt. of Karnataka who presided over the function also appreciated the initiatives of Union Ministry of Labour & Employment for bringing many ESIC Medical institutions in Karnataka State.
