Mangalore : A loan scheme for holding Marriage (Shubh Vivah), another for House renovation(Ghar Shobha), and the third being a Flexible Savings Scheme for Small trades (Smile), were launched by the nationalised Corporation Bank in Mangalore today at SDM College Mangalore.
D.K. ZP. CEO. P. Shiva Shanker inaugurated the schemes, and told the distinguished gathering that the Plans were intended to seek the participation of common people who were moving away from banking like drop outs and they have to be brought back to the habit of banking one way or the other, to invest their savings for the further events like marriage or home decoration or build up of trade connections.
Asit Pal, ED of Corp Bank presided. Narendra Singh, a director welcomed the gathering. Dr. Devaraj of BBM college in city spoke in the occasion. Prabhakar shenoy Dr. G.M. proposed the vote of thanks.
The Bank has crossed Rs. 1,66,700 crores of total business upto Oct. 1, this year Asit Pal told the audience in his presidential speech, praising the Mangaloreans and their land.
