Mangalore: In a strict order issued on the eve of a NEW YEAR 2014 celebrations on the coastal city of Mangalore by young and old alike, the new CPS R Hitendra has prohibited drinking liquor and driving, dancing violently in clubs, and parting near churches, homes schools and beaches and such other public places after mid night when a new year begins. The deadline for normal celebrations is up to 12.30 am soon after mid night.
The police in the city will keep a Sharp watch merry activities and any kind of immoral behavior especially towards women young girls and children by drunken or careless people. If anyone is caught red handed violating the police rules like uncivilized brutes in the name of merry making at mid night, strict action according to law will follow such violators to put down immoral, sense less and uncivilized activities by any member of any community or group or party for that matter.
CPC Hitendra has urged all citizens to keep themselves within civil limits and maintain an order even while celebrating a Happy New Year with noisy crackers, ringing of bells or burning the effigies of old year 2013 in a human form or sounding sirens in city limits on beaches, roads, clubs and any other public place full of students, women and other citizens.
