Puttu: A Maruti 800 traveling from Mangalore to Puttur on Jan. 14 night met with an accident at Kabaka-Polya Road when a Tanker lorry coming from the opposite side to go to Mangalore brushed the car on its side injuring 6 passengers in the car and damaging the vehicle.

The occupants of the car were related to one another in a family of Muslims.

Traffic police at Kabaka have registered a case for rash driving by the tanker driver, and are making further investigations in the case registered.

The injured persons were removing to a private hospital in Puttur for immediate treatment.
