Mangalore: Alikutty (40-45), wife of Thomas, hailing from Alakode in Kannur, Kerala and who had take a room in a city lodge on K S Rao road in a lodge for a few days, was suddenly found dead on Friday morning when lodge staff knocked on the door.

It appears that a young man in his teens had come in search of her, and after the visit had gone away.

Bunder (north) police, who looked in at the lodge, have a theory that she might have been killed by someone who had seen her earlier.

The police are investigating in to the sources of her unexpected death in the lodge.
