Bangalore: The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) has taken a few important decisions to prevent dubbing culture and to control non Kannada films shown in local theatres in state in a spate. Nine resolutions (decisions) were made with full support from associations of TV photographers, technicians, small screen producers, directors and TV personnel, in this regard.
If by 30th of November, these steps were not implemented by the persons concerned, then on Dec.1, the Kannada film industry will be forced to close down its activities, said Basanth Kumar Patil, President of KFCC on Monday, in a press meet here.
Open violation of principles (laid down by KFCC upon local film people) and such non-cooperation by some celebrities, has weakened KFCC. Kannada films have been affected by their acts. So 9 decisions have been taken in a meeting called to discuss all these matters, with a view to save Kannada film industry, Patil explained today.
