Mangalore : Ansar Arabic College, Derlakatta belong to the South Karnataka Salafi Movement as a part of Silver Jubilee Celebrations will hold a days educational conference under the theme “Learn and Teach in the name of the Creator” at Salafi Nagar, Derlakatta on November 7, Wednesday.
Addressing the press meet, Ismaeel Shafi, Administrator of Ansar Arabic College said that the main purpose of the conference is to demand the government to introduce Arabic as optional subject in the schools and colleges all over the State.
He also said that, BS Yeddyurappa, Chief Minister would inaugurate the public session while VS Acharya, Minister for Higher Education would preside over the function.
R Ashok, Home Minster, ET Muhammad Basheer, MP of Kerala, MLAs UT Khader, N Yogish Bhat, Anwar Manippady, Chairman of State Minorities Commission, Padmanabha Kottary, President of BJP, District Unit will participate as the chief guests.
Umar Shareef, Bangalore, will speak on the topic “The religion that changed the world” on the occasion.
Abdul Wahab Jamaee, Harapanahalli, Abdul Rahim Sagri, Ballary, Haneef, Kayakkodi and Abdul Salam Mongam, Dubai, will deliver talk at educational session.
Hussain Salafi, President of Indian Islahi Centre, Sharjah will deliver the valedictory speech.
