Mangalore : In a tragic incident, a driver of a car had luckily escaped with minor injuries , as the car driven by him, went out of control and fell into the Gurupur river near Kulur old bridge on April 19, Saturday at 6.30 am.

It is learnt that, car driver Sulaiman was on his way in his Maruthi Eco car (KA 20 P 4734) from Udupi to Mangalore Airport to receive his relatives lost control over the vehicle.

In the incident, the car was completely damaged, leaving driver with only minor injuries.

Panambur police have registered a case.
