Bantwal : Police have arrested a person from Madikeri for his involvement in the Brahmarakootlu toll plaza vandalism and has been produced before the judge of the court.

The district crime intelligence bureau police have arrested Abubakker (26), a resident of Apllamajalu at Madikeri and handed over him to the local police.

According to the police, they have succeeded in identifying over 25 miscreants involved in the destruction through the CCTV cameras and are conducting the raids at some houses and identify them based on their features and appearances.

It is learnt that the police department has been instructed by the state level officers to take stringent action against the miscreants without showing any mercy under the pressure of influential persons.

In this regard, the newly appointed circle inspector of the police station has discussed the matter with the senior officials in the town police station and initiated to take legal action against them.
