Mangalore : Around Five activists of Bharat Kranti Sena led by Pranavananda Swami, who staged protest outside Malabar Gold jewellery house alleging to use Hindu youths to smuggle gold from foreign countries got arrested on May 2, Friday.
The police who asked the protestors not to hold any protest in this regard, had to arrest them, when the activists defied the police and began shouting slogans against Malabar Gold.
The protestors in front of large number of customers gathered at store on the occasion of Akshaya Trithiya, accused the store for misusing Hindu youths for their service.
The arrested activists are national vice-president of the Sena Rajesh Poojary, Sena state president Lohith Kumar L, chief secretary Udaya Shankar, Naveen and Hemanth Kumar.
After the arrest of five activists, another group of Sena gathered to protest, but they had left the place after the police officials directed them to do so.
