Bantwal : The accused of minor rape case of a girl hailing from Kolpe in Idkidu near Vittal are said to be fled to Dubai, since the police officials have failed to arrest the accused, whereas another accused is also said to be making preparation to fly to Dubai.

It is recalled that, the minor girl studying in ninth standard was taken in car to Madikeri, where she was raped by two men on April 18.

According to girl’s relatives, one of the accused Bakkuta Basheer of Bobbekeri, in Vittal Casba village has already fled to Dubai where he was working earlier and after the incident he has again fled to Dubai.

Another accused in the crime, identified as Jabbar from Karyady in Kula village, who had threatened the victim to distort the face by throwing acid if she reveal the incident with her parents is also said to be making elaborate preparations to leave the country and move to Dubai, they said.

The relatives also urged the police department to seize the passport from Jabbar and stop him from going to Dubai.

While the third accused Radhukatte Basheer has not possess a passport as of now, since he has been facing the charges of motor bike theft cases.

However Raghavendra T R, house officer of Vittal police station are not ready to accept the information given by the girl’s relatives and said to be the rumour. The police have already started a search for the accused, he said.
