Bahrain : Bunts Bahrain as part of its healthy living program and to encourage sportive life organized Cricket Tournament for the Indian Expats living in the Kingdom of Bahrain on 13th June, 2014 at the Indian Club ground. Royal Cricketers, Indian Star, Kannada Sangha, Billawas Strikers, Smashers, Young Boyz, DadaBhai Travels, Mangalore Cricketers, BMC, Riffa CC, Chak De were some of the 16 Cricket teams participating in this day long knock out tournament.

The entertaining tournament with some nail biting finishes was enjoyed by the ground filled spectators. The socio cultural association involved with charity was encouraged by prominent personalities supporting this Indian unity game with generous sponsorship coming from Mr. Savin Shetty, Papillon; Al Hilal Hospital, Mr. Shivkumar Shetty, Mr. Abdul Satar Koteshwara, SNT Properties, Mr. Mohandas Shetty, Mr. Navin Alva and Mr. Prabhath Shetty. Mr. Amarnath Rai & Mr. Kamalaksha Amin’s ball by ball entertaining commentary with umpiring from Mr. Pradeep Shetty, Mr. Rajesh Machado, Mr. Vasant, Mr. Kishan kumar, Mr. Guruprasad Shetty, Mr. Renny, Mr. Hemant Salian, Mr. Ashok Kateel and unprecedented support from Mr. Jayaraj Bhandary and other social Clubs ensured undisputed flow of 15 continuous matches.

The teamwork and quick adjustment to the modified condition ensured Central Café walking away with $300 cash rewards while home team Indian Club bagged the Runners Up trophy. Mr. Suraj Shetty was judged as the Man of the Match and Man of the Series award while Mr. Sagar Shetty was judged as the Best Bowler. Bahrain Mangalore Cricketers was awarded Fair Play Award.
The Committee headed by Mr. Bharath Shetty under sports secretary Mr. Sukesh Shetty and assistant sports secretary Mr. Pranesh Shetty along with other committee members thanked each and every well wisher for supporting towards the success of the tournament.
