Mangalore : The development of the old port, fisheries, IT and industries in the city is the main priority in the agenda said, J R Lobo Mangalore South MLA on July 12 in a press conference at Eden Club here.
Speaking to the reporters he said, the fish markets in the city need basic infrastructure, the government approved the proposal. The infrastructure of the fishing port and old port also planned, he said.
He said that, a plan is ready to construct an air conditioned fish market at Kankanady, other fish markets in city will be headway.
A ring road has been planned to enable smooth flow of traffic. According to that the three phase corniche road will come up Jappinamogaru-Kuloor-Gurupur, he said.
The Sultan Batteri hanging bridge will complete on ‘Coastal Circuit’ project through the PWD department, the first 3D planetarium of the district will open by next March. Rs 12 crore has been sanctioned for this project. Work is in progress, he said.
More IT companies and industries will be brought to the city. “Efforts will be made to complete all the projects in my tenure, he added.
