Mangalore : Deputy Commissioner AB Ibrahim inaugurated ‘Aatidonji Dina’ programme organized at the Chavadi of the Guttu House at Pilikula on August 12, Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the chavadi organizing such kind of programmes will help preserve the customs, traditions and culture of Tulunad among the young generation.

The month of Aati has special place in Tulunad,, during which special sports and special seasonal food have prepared.

As a part of event, an exhibition of Aati delicacies was also organized on the occasion.

Renowned scholar Dr. BA Viveka Rai, senior writer Erya Lakshminarayana Alva, Pilikula Nisargadhama officer Dr KV Rao, progressive farmer Dr. D.C. Chowta, Taluk Women’s Federation President Vijayalakshmi Shetty and others were present.
