Mangalore : Three members of a family were found dead at a flat located in Hoigebail on August 14, Thursday.

The deceased have been identified as Shailesh (38), his wife Savitha (30) and their daughter Vidhyalaxmi (10).

According to police, the incident is suspected to be a case of suicide, since body of Shailesh was found hanging in a ceiling fan while body of Savitha and her daughter Vidyalaxmi were found in bedroom.

It is learnt that financial problem have made the family to take this extreme steps. Shailesh, a financier, had left a four-page suicide note stating, his financial problem.

Savitha is suspected to have consumed poison and even to her daughter Vidyalakshmi, who was 5th standard student in Canara School.

The security guard who had last seen the family going to the house on August 12 have never seen them, coming out. Later, he informed other occupants of the flats and found the family members dead.

A case has been registered at Urwa police station.
