Udupi: Deputy Commissioner Muddu Mohan inaugurated the world photography day organized by Udupi district Working Journalists Association.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that more than words, pictures convey messages more powerfully and stands as the support and proof to the story. The photographers in the field have to work with great speed all round the day.
District Information Officer Rohini said that photography has become easier in the rapid technological revolution in cameras.
Renowned photographer Gurudutt was feleicitated on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion he said that photography helps one to create the illusions. He urged the photographers to tell the stories to the readers through the pictures. In photography, balanced combination of identity, simplicity, frame, focus and exposure is more important since it should be analyzed graphically and geographically.
Mangalore: Mangalore zone of South Kanara Photographers’ Association (SKPA) organized a programme of clicking passport photographs of senior citizens free of cost to mark World Photography day at Mannagudda Government Higher Primary School.
Mangalore City Corporation Mayor Mahabala Marla inaugurated the event by clicking the photograph of a senior citizen.
School Head teacher Joyce Henry, Association President Chandrakanth and other office-bearers were present.
DK and Udupi Photographers’ Association President Vasudeva Rao inaugurated the novel programme titled ‘Chayacharana,’ was conceived by Punik Shetty of Punik’s Digital as part of World Photography Day.
Apart from it, more than 100 students of Sharada Vidyalaya gathered at the school ground with open umbrellas in their hands to create a replica of the machine of 20×50 feet size which provides recording of unforgettable moments of life.
