Mangalore : MP Nalin Kumar Kateel laid the Foundation stone for the new community hall at Vamanjoor on August 31, Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, he congratulated the Parish Priest and parishioners for the plan to constructing a community hall for the benefit of the citizens of Vamanjoor and around.

He also said that, Vamanjoor is a fast growing city and will soon become the hub for Educational, Social, Commercial, and Cultural development.

Cordel Church Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Valerian Pinto, blessed the occasion and consecrated the foundation stone.

MLC Ivan D’Souza wished the organizers to complete the project in a record time.

MCC Mayor Mahabala Marla said that with regard to development, that Mangalore City Corporation stands second in the state, while Vamanjoor stands first in the growth rate. There is need of community hall in Vamanjoor and assured to provide basic infrastructure facilities required for the locality.

Rev. Fr. Cyprian Pinto, Parish Priest, welcomed the guests and gathering. Roshan M. Kamath, Vice President, proposed vote of thanks. Felix Saldanha compered the programme.
