Udupi : The Udupi DCIB police nabbed five persons in connection with the brutal murder of rowdy sheeter Pitty Nagesh on September 11, Thursday.

The accused are identified as Nandagokula residents Korankarapady Vishwanath, Guruprasad Alveoor, Munna, Santosh and Kukkikatte resident Zakir.

Police said that it was a matter of shock to know that Munna who was the aide of Pitty Nagesh was one among his murderers. While, others had previously attacked Nagesh on other occasions too.

According to sources, Munna visited Nagesh and took him out in a car to a bar in Katapady, after making him drink sufficiently he moved his car towards Udupi on Thursday evening.

As per the plan, the gangsters waylaid their car at Udyavar and brutally attacked and murdered Nagesh. Later, Munna fled away with the other accused in their blue Maruti 800 car.

The police arrested all the accused based on the information revealed by Guruprasad during the interrogation after being arrested.
