Mangalore : Hundreds of Hindu activists gathered in front of Mangalore Rural police station condemning the police department who has detained Bhajarang Dal leader in connection with assault on college students September 19 night.
It is learnt that, in connection with the assault on youth on Sept 18, the Bajrang Dal leaders handed over three accused out of five to the police on the same day. But, the police managed to trace the six other accused on September 19 and also detained Bajrang Dal leader Bhujang Kulal. The officials said other leaders to hand over the remaining two accused to release Kulal.
Later the activists submitted a memorandum to City Police Commissioner R Hithendra who visited the spot.
