Bantwal : Rahul Kumar S assumed the charge as new Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Bantwal at a formal ceremony on September 20, Saturday.

After the upgradation of the station, Rahul Kumar is the first ASP of Bantwal to assume the charge.

Previously, Bantwal Town came under the limits of Puttur sub-region and later under the jurisdiction of DySP. But after the upgradation it falls under the jurisdiction of ASP.

Former Bantwal DySP Rashmi Paraddi gave a floral welcome to the new ASP before taking the charge.

Bantwal circle inspector Belliyappa, Bantwal town sub-inspector Nandakumar and other officials were present.

ASP Rahul Kumar who hails from Nanded in Maharashtra assumed as ASP of Bantwal soon after finishing his training at Mysore.
