Mangalore : youth said to be the son of a rowdy sheeter, assaulted an MCC worker at Vamanjoor check-post on September 24, Wednesday.

The assaulted victim has been identified as Santhosh Kottari (31).

Reportedly, Santhosh who is also a brother of local unit BJP General Secretary Rajesh Kottari, was allegedly attacked by Pawan(20) son of notorious rowdy Vamanjoor Rohi who was killed in 2009.

Injured Santhosh was immediately rushed to the hospital.

The reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained.
