Mangalore:  Few miscreants stabbed a man injuring him seriously near Pajir coming under Konaje police station limits on September 25, Thursday.

The injured person has been identified as Ibrahim (30), a resident of Vittal.

It is learnt that Ibrahim was on his way to his wife’s house in his bike to Pajir, when some miscreants, waylaid his bike and attacked him.

It is recalled that the incident was a revenge for attacking eight persons in a group clash that had erupted at Debbeli recently. On the same night, Hindu Jagarana Vedike president Satish (40) from Devinagar and Kambalapadavu resident Udaya (40) were attacked with deadly weapons by some group at Sambarthota near Mudipu. During the incident, Satish had sustained grave injuries on his right shoulder.

Police suspect the attack Ibrahim was a revenge taken for attacking Satish and Udaya.

Konaje police have registered a case and investigations are on.
