Venoor: A Leopard which had frequently surfaced in Amyalagudde in Chennaithody village from last one month was caught by Forest officials of Venoor forest department. Cattle and dogs of villagers were missing therefore villagers had complained to the Venoor forest department.

During the investigation they found the Leopard in the same area and they kept a puppy as bait. On Sunday leopard came to eat the puppy and got trapped. People gathered to see the trapped leopard on Sunday.

Forest officer Subramanyachar, Venoor forest officer Yashodhara and staff, veterinary doctor Dr Ashok Venoor and others were present. The trapped leopard will be shifted to Kudremukh Sanctuary in the vehicle provided by businessman Purushotham Shetty.
