Udupi : A bike rider was killed in an accident when the bike he was riding collided into an Eicher tempo at Padubidri-Karkal State Highway, near SK Enterprises on September 30, Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Beltangady resident Jayaram Acharya(42), working as a carpenter by profession.

Padubidri police station SI Azmat Ali said that Jayaram Acharya’s bike was collided into Eicher Tempo coming from opposite direction killing him on the spot due to severe head injuries.

Later, police shifted the body to the Government hospital for post-mortem.

A case has been registered at Padubidri Police Station.
