Manjeshwar: Due to cardiac arrest, a school teacher collapsed while taking class and died on the spot at Manjeshwar on Oct 7, Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Shivananda Aribail (41) hailing from Varkady Thotadamoole. Aribail was working as a teacher at SAT School in Manjeshwar when the incident took place. Although he was rushed to the hospital, doctor pronounced him dead.

Shivananda was teaching Social Science to the students of SAT School from past 13 years. He also served as the Secretary of Manjeshwar Scouts and Guides Club.

He is survived by his parents, wife, daughter, son, brothers and sisters.

The body of Shivananda was kept at the school for the public to pay their tribute and was later handed over to the family members to perform the last rites.

Manjeshwar MLA P B Abdul Reheman and others has condoled the death of Shivananda.
